The information we collect depends on how you use the Service. This may include:

• Discord identifiers such as user IDs, server IDs, channel IDs, and message IDs (as needed to operate features).
• Interaction and usage data such as commands used, activity counters (for example, time-of-day usage buckets), and feature usage.
• Bond and preference data such as bond progress, usage/bond energy counters, and limited “memory facts” you choose to share (e.g., nicknames or preferences).
• Moderation and safety data such as spam/abuse protection states (for example, timeouts and related timestamps) to protect the Service.
• Premium and billing metadata such as Stripe customer and subscription identifiers (where applicable). We do not store your full payment card details.
• Message content you send to Alice in Discord, which is processed to generate responses and may be used to extract limited “memory facts” when you choose to use the Storybook Memory feature (you can review and delete these facts in Account → Memory).

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information. Please do not share passwords, full financial details, government IDs, or other highly sensitive information with the Service.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• Generate bot responses and route requests to the correct features.
• Enable account features such as plan status, usage reporting, and bond/energy tracking.
• Operate safety systems (anti-spam, abuse protection, and rate limiting).
• Support premium subscriptions and billing status (where available).

4. AI Processing

The Service uses AI systems to generate responses and to extract limited “memory facts” when you choose to use the Storybook Memory feature. This means the content you send to Alice may be transmitted to third-party AI providers for processing. We use this processing to provide the Service and improve reliability.

5. Sharing and Third Parties

We may share information with third parties only as necessary to operate the Service, including:

• Discord (platform where the bot operates).
• Hosting and database providers (to run the website/bot and store service data).
• AI processing providers (to generate responses and process content you send).
• Stripe (to process payments and manage subscriptions, where applicable).

We do not sell personal information or share it with third parties for marketing.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate operational and safety purposes. For example, usage metrics and safety logs may be retained to maintain the Service, enforce limits, and prevent abuse. Memory facts may be subject to plan-based caps and may be trimmed automatically. You can delete your stored memory facts from your account at any time by logging in with Discord and going to Account → Memory. When you delete a memory fact, it is removed from our database.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access or delete certain information about you. You can also reduce data collection by not using the Service.

To request deletion or assistance, contact us through our Discord server. You can remove stored memory facts through the website’s Account → Memory page.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided information to the Service, contact us so we can address it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and may provide additional notice for significant changes through our Discord server.
